Willy Jay’s adventures as a U.S. Navy pilot take him around the globe from early action in the South Pacific during World War II to the following wars and beyond. The ladies in his life play have their entrances and their exits but Willy’s wives are a very large part of that life. Any intruders into his marriages pay the proper penalty. Willy and his last wife, Misty live through toil and trouble before retiring back home to Corpus Christi.
Willy Jay is a Texas lad who grows up on Corpus Christi Bay and then takes to the air and the seas. During his long and productive naval career, Willy gets to know ten U.S. aircraft carriers up close and personal. Prop fighters and then the transition to the birds of the jet age are just part of his life.
As in previous books, the author’s drawings of the aircraft flown by the character and his cohorts are included with the narrative.
